Three more dolls from Jan Bartlett
These three dolls came giggling to my home from Jan Bartlett of NV. When I saw their fun fabrics and playful pattern with such cute feet, the giggling continued, only this time, from me. How sweet are these little ones? The smiles will be wide when these are received. Thank you once again Jan , for your continued support and for sponsoring yet another shipment. I love the Spring book mark and will think of your generous heart every time I see it.
I also thought I would mention Jan's blog which shares her insight and views on abuse which is worth educating ourselves about. Thanks Jan.

Kirsten Schmidt of Germany sent a trio of lovely Comfort Dolls last week. A mermaid, a heart, and a serene scene. When I have the time, I enjoy sharing details of your dolls as I post them, and I wanted to show a closeup of this little scene. Isn't it sweet?I see Kirsten included a dragonfly , she must love them too because she sent me a beautiful dragonfly rubber stamp. I will use that often. Thank you for your wonderful donations, and for the stamp. I will put it to good use and your dolls are sure to delight their recipients.

Diane Yates from TN sent 9 Comfort dolls
Diane Yates has donated 9 Comfort Dolls. Diane collects dolls and swaps with others so she has acquired quite a collection. She has decided to part with some for the Comfort Doll Project. She has enjoyed them and feels the need to offer them to women who would enjoy them as well. I know it is hard to part with your dolls Diane, and I do thank you. Nine women will continue to love them soon.

22 Comfort Dolls from Pamela Perry of KY
Pamela Perry of Kentucky sent 22 sweet pocket sized Comfort dolls last week. Each doll holds a Spring flower to greet her recipient. What a lovely and cheerful group. Thank you Pam :-) These are just lovely. I recently met Pamela through this project and learned of her website she created for her mother. Her story is heartbreaking. To know your mother doesn't recognize you, and is lost in her own world at times has got to be unbearable. I thank Pam for this site, she did not create it to ask for pity. It is to educate us about Alzheimer's. Among many things, I learned that the color chosen to represent this illness is purple. Imagine that! My favorite color. I took this as a message, a "heads up" if you will.
Pamela will be walking for the cause in September, and I hope to create a few purple items to donate and help raise money for research. I invite you to visit her site if you can.
Taking time to make 22 dolls for this project while having her hands full with family, shows the size of her heart.
I know each of you steal away precious time to create dolls for the women of the shelters, and I thank you all. Gestures small and large toward causes such as these are much needed. You never know when it will be our time to need a little hug.
