I wanted to share the letter from the Safe Haven shelter in Waterbury CT who received the 7th dozen Comfort Dolls. The story she shares is exactly why we are doing this,I think this tells it all........
This shelter is not too far from where my sister began her escape from abuse and they may have helped her on her first leg of her journey to Santa Monica and to Sojourn House. At this point, only 15 months after her murder, I am not sure. However, I am so happy to see they received comfort dolls.
I am going to join in this project of yours and will spend the next few days thinking on what I would like to create or maybe even host for the very place in California that gave my little sister such hope for a few months.
